ECOHOTEL PUERTO DE OJÉN - ECOLOGICAL?

The name ECOHOTEL for our hotel obeys to the determination of performing the construction of the hotel respecting the natural environment where it is located. Excavations were carried out without the use of a single gram of dynamite to preserve the area of any disturbance. It ended with backhoe to maintain the flora and fauna of the surroundings unpolluted. Non-aggressive materials have been used, both in electricity and plumbing, and finally, an effort has been made to provide enough solar energy to meet the needs of hot water, heating, pool heating, and above all, cold air conditioning generated by solar energy. In turn, we take the excess heat energy for usage in common areas like lobby and so on. And all this with an advanced project that has been awarded by the Junta de Andalucía with the Technology Innovation Award.

We have also controlled lighting consumption, using for this as far as possible to energy saving light bulbs at 80% and when it has not been possible, we have installed motion sensors, thus while meeting light needs also saving the most energy possible. We recycle water for irrigation, watching carefully materials separation for recycling.
